Kevin Hanssen


Welcome to the Kevin Hanssen home page. Kevin enjoys many different creative roles within the theatre, radio and film industries and has had the privilege of working with myriads of wonderfully talented people over the last 15 years. He is based in Harare, Zimbabwe and in London, the UK.

Credits include:
:: compiling and writing material for Monty Python's audio version of their autobiography in collaboration with Bob McCabe, Strathmore Publishing and Orion Audiobooks;
:: four appearances as an actor at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival including a nomination by The Stage for 'acting excellence in an ensemble' alongside Over the Edge cast members Lucian Msamati and Craig Peter, directed by Zane E. Lucas;
:: a six month season as director of a development theatre company in Zimbabwe (The Theory X Theatre Initiative);
:: co-writer of Born African - an original Zimbabwean play that has won numerous awards and played over 180 times to audiences on three continents;
:: part of the 3 man Zimbabwe team with Gavin and Craig Peter at The Impro World Championships in Germany 2006;
:: Director of Kalanga!, a Kellog Foundation project with a dance group from the Masendu area, a remote part of South-West Zimbabwe. Choreographed by Tumbuka's Mathias Julius, designed by Nontsi Mutiti;
:: web and graphic design, including websites for Antelope Park, Miombo Lodge, Skills4Life and Musicamp Zimbabwe.
